Scheepswerf Next Generation Shipyards uit Lauwersoog heeft een belangrijke innovatieve stap gezet in de verdere automatisering van haar productieproces. Met de aanschaf en implementatie van een geavanceerde lasrobot, wil het bedrijf haar werkwijze niet alleen efficiënter, maar ook duurzamer en aantrekkelijker voor haar werknemers te maken.

RONDAL RECEIVES LLOYD’S REGISTER APPROVAL-INPRINCIPLE FOR THE AERO WING SAIL

Rondal has received an Approval-in-Principle (AiP) from Lloyd’s Register during Metstrade 2025 for the Aero Wing Sail. This recognition confirms that the system’s design and safety principles have been thoroughly reviewed and are ready for the next steps toward implementation. Over the past years, Rondal has worked on developing a reliable and efficient wing sail suitable for both sailing catamarans and wind-assisted monohulls. The system is designed with a focus on aerodynamic performance, safety, automated control and practical onboard integration. It is developed in collaboration with Artemis Technologies and it is derived from technology used for wing sails in the America’s Cup and SailGP.

Multraship verstrekt positie in Zwarte Zee met nieuwe sleepboot

Sleepvaart- en bergingsbedrijf Multraship heeft de nieuwe sleepboot MULTRATUG 30 gedoopt en in dienst genomen. De 80 ton bollard pull sterke sleepboot wordt ingezet voor dochterbedrijf Bourgas Tug Service in Bulgarije, waarmee de capaciteit van het bedrijf voor haven- en offshore-sleepdiensten in de Zwarte Zee-regio wordt vergroot en tegelijkertijd de mogelijkheden op het gebied van berging en noodhulp worden versterkt.
