Holland Shipyards Group delivers third Offshore Support Vessel ‘Men Skey’ to Dixstone
Holland Shipyards Group proudly announces the successful delivery of Men Skey, the third and final Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) in a series of three built for Dixstone. Following the delivery of Men Cren and Men Goe earlier in 2025, this milestone marks the completion of a remarkable offshore newbuild program. With Men Cren already delivered as the first vessel in the series and both sister vessels currently operating successfully along the coast of West Africa, Men Skey will soon join them to further strengthen Dixstone’s offshore support activities in the region.
Haven van Rotterdam vergroent verder met Europese financiering
De Europese Investeringsbank (EIB) leent €90 miljoen aan Havenbedrijf Rotterdam voor de aanleg van walstroominstallaties bij drie deepsea containerterminals in de Rotterdamse haven. De lening wordt gebruikt voor de financiering van Rotterdam Shore Power (RSP), een joint venture van Havenbedrijf Rotterdam en Eneco. RSP zal – behalve de zogeheten “onshore electric power supply” installatie – ook de aansluiting op het stroomnet, bekabeling en andere gerelateerde bouw- en graafwerkzaamheden uitvoeren. In totaal wordt acht kilometer kade voorzien van walstroom, met 35 aansluitpunten voor zeegaande containerschepen.
Weer een nieuwe sleepboot voor Muller Dordrecht van Damen
Op 28 februari is de ‘EN AVANT 19’ van Muller Dordrecht aangekomen vanuit Vietnam in Rotterdam. De ‘EN AVANT 19’ is het kleine zusje van de ‘EN AVANT 25’ en ‘EN AVANT 26’. Deze Damen nieuwbouw schepen werden in 2023 en 2024 in de vaart genomen. De ‘EN AVANT 19’ is 28.57 meter lang en 11.43 meter breed en heeft een trekkracht van 65 ton.
Damen delivers ASD Tug 2811 En Avant 19 to Muller Dordrecht
Damen Shipyards Group has delivered an ASD Tug 2811 to Muller Dordrecht. The vessel, named En Avant 19, joins a number of Damen vessels in the company’s fleet. This includes two ASD Tugs 3212, En Avant 25 and En Avant 26, that Damen delivered in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
Damen launches tenth Island Class ferry for BC Ferries
At a ceremony at Damen Shipyards Galati in Romania, the tenth Island Class ferry has been launched. Damen is constructing the vessels for BC Ferries. The Island Class ferries provide services connecting islands along Canada’s west coast.
Commercial success: Heesen Sells Project Frida
Heesen Yachts announces the sale of YN 21055, Project Frida. The 55-metre Steel motor yacht has been acquired by a client drawn to the shipyard’s Dutch pedigree and the significant advantage of a shortened delivery schedule.
