Objective (& content)
The course consists of three topics, spread over 3 days: Vibrations, Onboard Noise, and Underwater Radiated Noise. Each topic will be presented in an accessible manner with connected practical examples, illustrative exercises and hands-on experiments. State-of-the-art tools and methods with their benefits and potential pitfalls are treated with examples based on experience.

The training series Marine Propulsion Systems is a unique technical and international oriented series of training modules. It is developed for those who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of the design of different marine propulsion systems. When you have completed the module ‘Electrical Drive Characteristics’, you will be able to decide which type of electrical drive component and/or system will be suited best for a particular vessel design. The theory is practiced by means of exercises.

Aan het eind van deze training ben je in staat om de juiste verbrandingsmotor voor een schip te selecteren op basis van het verwachte operationele profiel en op basis van de verschillende voor- en nadelen van verschillende maritieme verbrandingsmotoren. De training wordt in het Engels gegeven door assistent professor Paul de Vos, directeur Studies Marine Technology van de TU Delft.
