Royal T Shipyards Debuts at Navalia 2026 in Vigo-Spain

12 mei 2026

Royal T Shipyards is proud to announce its first-time participation at Navalia 2026, taking place from 19–21 May 2026 in Vigo, Spain. The Dutch shipbuilder will be present at Stand B14, Hall 3, as part of the Dutch Pavilion organised by Maritime & Offshore NL.

Navalia is one of Southern Europe’s leading maritime exhibitions, bringing together shipowners, operators, and industry stakeholders from across Spain, Portugal, and the wider Atlantic region. For Royal T Shipyards, this marks an important step in strengthening its presence in the Iberian markets.

At Navalia 2026, Royal T Shipyards will present its portfolio of standardised, modular vessel series, designed and engineered in-house to meet the evolving demands of short-sea and regional shipping. The focus will be on dry cargo vessels, product tankers, and cement carriers, combining proven concepts with flexibility and future ready design.

“Our participation at Navalia reflects our ambition to further expand in Southern Europe and beyond,” says Thecla Bodewes, CEO of Royal T Shipyards. “We understand our clients’ transport challenges and actively look for opportunities to accelerate their business. Our series-built vessels are designed to deliver exactly that: efficiency, reliability, and long-term value.”

Proven Series, Practical Innovation

Royal T Shipyards’ approach is built on a strong foundation of standardisation and modularity, enabling shorter delivery times, reduced technical risk, and optimised lifecycle performance. Its well-established vessel families—including LABRAX, SALMO, and GADUS—demonstrate how diesel-electric propulsion, smart design, and operational efficiency come together in practical, market-driven solutions.

With increasing pressure on emissions and operational costs, the yard continues to develop vessels that are not only compliant with today’s regulations but also prepared for future fuels and zero-emission operations.

Strong Orderbook, Strong Partnerships

With a robust orderbook of vessels under construction and in development, Royal T Shipyards continues to build on long-term relationships with clients across Europe, Scandinavia, and South America. Ongoing series production for repeat customers underlines the confidence in the yard’s proven concepts, while new projects reflectthe growing demand for efficient, sustainable vessel solutions.

Connecting Markets and Opportunities

Navalia provides a strong platform to engage with shipowners and operators active in Spain, Portugal, and South America: regions where demand for efficient and versatile vessels continues to grow.

Wilco Smit, Sales and Project Development at Royal T Shipyards, adds: “Navalia is an excellent opportunity to connect with both existing and new partners in these markets. We are looking forward to discussing ongoing projects, upcoming tenders, and how our vessel concepts can support our clients’ operations.”
