Conbit Acquires OIS and ISC to Strengthen Its Offshore Wind Capabilities and Presence in Germany

20 april 2026

Conbit announces the acquisition of key assets of OIS Offshore Industrie Service GmbH, including the ISC GWO Training Centre. Both OIS and ISC will continue operating without interruption and will be fully integrated into the Conbit organization.

The acquisition includes OIS’s offshore electrical services and specialized crane services, covering maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections. All activities will operate through a new Conbit entity based in Rostock, ideally positioned for the offshore wind market in the Baltic Sea. A second facility in Bockhorn will support rapid mobilization for projects in the German North Sea region.

OIS will continue under the leadership of Mr. Heiko Seefeldt, Managing Director for more than a decade. While OIS entered financial difficulties due to a single project involving extensive marine spread, the company brings strong competencies and a highly skilled workforce. As part of the Krebs Gruppe, OIS built solid capabilities in offshore energy systems and marine service support.

ISC, the GWO-accredited training centre founded within OIS, will remain fully operational and continue delivering essential safety and technical training for offshore wind personnel.

Conbit will welcome all incoming employees from OIS and ISC, whose qualifications enhance Conbit’s service offering across electrical services, crane expertise, and offshore training. In line with its Power of Preparation philosophy, Conbit is ensuring a smooth and well-planned transition.

In the coming weeks, Conbit will contact all existing clients and supply chain partners of OIS and ISC to discuss future cooperation, which Conbit fully intends to continue and strengthen.
